Miller's Clipper Blade Sharpening Service

Blades Serviced
Blades we DO sharpen-
We service most all types of clipper blades. The most common type we service are the "A5" types. These are the snap-on kind of clipper blade.
We service Oster "Lucky Dog" blades.
All of the above blades are $5.00 per SET. (comb and cutter.....please do not disassamble)
We also service all large animal (cattle, horse, sheep, llama, alpaca) blades such as Oster AU's, Lister, Wahl.
They are $7.00 per SET. (comb and cutter...both must be sent for work to be guaranteed)
Add $1.00 for extra cleaning fee if you send in very rusted blades or if your blades are dirty and packed with hair. Blades are hand cleaned and this takes up a lot of extra time.

* Blade work NOT guaranteed -
Excessively rusted / corroded blades - We can, in MOST cases, restore cutting efficiency to very rusted blades. We may have to hone these blades 4-6 times over to restore a clean cutting surface but that is better than throwing your blades away! Sometimes there is just too much pitting and we won't be able to get them to cut. Send these blades at your discrimination. Add $1.00 per set cleaning fee if you send in very rusted blades.

Blades with broken teeth - Broken teeth on cutter or comb can sometimes cause the blade to drag through and bind up on hair and efficiently. Send these blades at your discrimination.

Blades we DON'T sharpen -
We do NOT sharpen any kind of blades where the clipper has a lever along side to adjust height. (The cheap human and pet hair clippers available for $10- $20) The reason for this is that the tension between these blades cannot be adjusted and when blades are sharpened, metal is taken away from both blade pieces (cutter and comb). Once metal is removed, there is no way to compensate for the metal loss and although the blades can be razor sharp, they will not cut because of the lack of tension between the cutter and comb. You're better off buying a new blade set or even another clipper set.

Ceramic blades - Ceramic blades should be done on a diamond wheel and we don't use that type of honing wheel. We may acquire one in the future.

Any kind of clipper blade that someone has attempted to sharpen with any kind of power tool other then a honing wheel or disc. Someone once sent in nearly new blades that someone used an angle grinder on. They were completely destroyed.
