Protect your investment! You've paid good money for your blades and with a little extra attention, they could last several seasons or years.
Dirt will scratch the cutting surface and dull a blade fast, requiring sharpening more often and shortening the life of your blade. Clean, DRY hair will cut much easier and you will get much more cutting time out of each blade. While clipping, stop frequently and use Kool-Lube or a similar cooling lubricant to spray built-up hair out of the blade, then add a drop of light machine oil (clipper oil, 3 in 1, etc.) to the inside of each wear bar while the clipper is running.
Do the same thing when you're all finished clipping so hair doesn't stay packed up within the blades. Leaving dirty, sweaty or damp hair packed up within the blades will cause rusting and heavy pitting and that can make restoring a good cutting surface very difficult and sometimes impossible. A quick spray of Kool-Lube to remove hair when clipping is finished will help prevent this.

To store your clipper blades, clean out the hair and any dirt, put them into a blade caddy and soak them in Blade Wash or some kind of oil.......mineral spirits or even scented (or unscented) oil-lamp oil works well.
Even better: Send your blades to be sharpened at the end of clipping season to have clean, sharp blades ready for next season. Protect your investment!
And finally.....NEVER, EVER, EVER allow anyone to attempt to sharpen your clipper blades with any power tool!! They will very likely be ruined beyond help. Properly honing clipper blades takes precision and equipment made especially for the purpose.
